The Golden Girls’ Picks For The Sephora Fall Event 2021
Has it really already been 7 months since the spring Sephora savings event? WTF. They always sneak up on me and honestly, the only reason I even know about them is because my sister and my mom are all over that shit. It couldn’t come at a better time because I definitely have some empties that I need to restock, and I love using this event as an opportunity to include all of the Golden Girls’ top product picks, and I’m featuring an EXTRA SPECIAL “For the Boys” pick list from none other than Rikki DONT himself!
A quick rundown on how these events work:
Friday, Nov. 5: Rouge members (meaning, those who are Sephora obsessed and have spent way too much money there over the years (the Golden Girls)) get first access to the event and 20% off their orders
Tuesday, Nov. 9: VIB members (one step below Rouge. Like, you love Sephora but maybe aren’t as irresponsible with your shopping) can start shopping for 15% off their orders

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo

First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub
Where are all my girls with Keratosis Pilaris at?! Y’all, listen. I’ve had this for years and have never properly used it. But I’ve got a wedding in a year and my dress will definitely show my arms, so I’ve been religious about applying this for the past few weeks and I SWEAR TO GOD—IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. KP is incurable, but this stuff truly helps smooth it out and create less bumps and things to pick if you use it at least 3x a week. I apply Everyday Oil to my arms every time I use it, and man. I’m noticing things!
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows Tinted Brow Gel in “Dark Brown”
This is the best brow gel I’ve ever used and I’ll probably never stop. The fine brush makes application so easy and subtle (unless you go heavy-handed by accident like I did the other week and give myself Grouch Marx brows).
I love this perfume with all my heart. I get compliments whenever I’m in public wearing it, and Zac even loves it, which I feel is saying something because most men I’ve ever met generally don’t like perfume at all.
I just. Like, I’m not sure what to say here besides it’s truly the best. balm. ever? I don’t know what it is about this specific brand and formula, but I am not kidding you, I apply it every single night and every single morning and panic when I forget to. I bring it on trips. It’s simply the best. I need a restock and am thinking I’ll try the vanilla one this time around. OMG, I’M WILD!

I’m unsure why this has shit reviews on Sephora.com? I love it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’ve been using it for the last month or two while I’ve been figuring out my new hair routine, and I feel my hair is nice and protected and it smells good, too! I’ll be getting a full-size and another mini for travel.
I love my Devacurl hair towel, but methinks I’ll be getting one of these as well because a curly girl can never have too many microfiber hair towels. Aquis is the queen of amazing hair towels. Ditch your regular towel and frizz and get on the Aquis train. You won’t be disappointed.

This stuff is the (say it again) THE end all be all of products. An enzyme exfoliant that's been called "a facial in a tube," which sounds like a British porn title. It says "intensive" and it is. It burns in a good way, but it's not for everyone.
Murad Oil and Pore Control Mattifier Broad Spectrum SPF 45
For my oily boys (and gals), this is a godsend. I do not have to worry about being shiny come 2 PM. It mattifies, shrinks pores, lasts long, and protects you from UV. A must-have.

I used the lippies in this brand back in the day. They used to sell it at department stores. Then it got relegated to Wal Mart. Now they have re-vamped it and upped their game, and it is exclusive to Sephora. The lipsticks are full on color and saturated, but still creamy with staying power. The 'Nudeattitude' is self-explanatory...and 'Catfight' is an orange-red (no blue red for this gal!)
REN Clean Skincare Perfect Canvas Primer
This gets stellar reviews for keeping your foundation set. But, I learned that some makeup artists use it sparingly as an eye primer, and supposedly it's amazing. Gonna get it, gonna use it, gonna love it, gonna like it, probably gonna return it! But I have to see if it works. The ingredient list is short, and seems to contain things that won't end up upsetting sensitive skin.
Danessa Myricks Beauty Powder Bronzer Cream
I’ve seen this at work in a YouTube makeup video and I like the subtlety of its look, and the easy application. You use a large brush (a rounded powder brush) and it appears to blend in effortlessly. And the best thing is that it's fragrance-free, and the ingredients seem acceptable for sensitive skin. Comes in 3 shades.
Been using this for the past year and I really like the texture and application (doe foot). It is a peachy color, but blends out to a lighter tone (I use a brush to blend it out). My eyeshadow stays on for at least 8 hours with a minimum of fade by the end of the day.
