Our Picks for the Sephora Spring Savings Event

Give the Golden women a sale, and we will give you our money and recommendations on how to spend yours on the same sale. Twice a year, Sephora treats us all to what they like to refer to as an “event” because it sounds fancier and more exciting than a “sale,” but it’s really just a sale. AND WHO DOESN’T LOVE A SALE ON MAKEUP?! CAN I GET A HELL YEAH.

Okay so here’s the skinny on the sale.

Friday, April 1: Rouge members (meaning, those who are Sephora obsessed and have spent way too much money there over the years (AKA the Golden Girls)) get first access to the event and 20% off their orders

Tuesday, April 5: VIB members (one step below Rouge. Like, you love Sephora but maybe aren’t as irresponsible with your money) can start shopping for 15% off their orders

Thursday, April 7: Insider members can start shopping for 10% off! *Note: Literally anyone can be an Insider even if you’ve never shopped at Sephora or spent more than $5 there. You just sign up on the spot online and boom, you’ll get at least the 10% off.

The sale ends Monday, April 11, so you’ve got time but let’s talk anyway (all descriptions written by whoever is recommending the product).

The code for everyone is SAVESPRING.

This is new to my collection, and I love it. It’s a lovely alternative from my everyday pink blush, and I love that it doubles as a lip tint. It’s super dewy and sticky in the best way; perfect for that summer-kissed glow. I got the Dear Ruby color, which is a poppy red!

I’ve been using this for a few years now, and I just love it. The texture is creamy but light, and it’s the kind of foundation on which you can build. Meaning, if one layer isn’t enough, feel free to put on another! It has a natural finish and makes a perfect blank canvas of your already perfect face.

LIFE CHANGING SHIT RIGHT HERE. The difference I see when I use this is wild. It truly does exactly what it’s designed to do, and I recommend it to everyone! I use the medium shade, but may get the medium/dark for summer.

I can’t remember who influenced this purchase; I just know I’m very glad I bought it. It’s a great concealer, period. It doesn’t crease at all and has serious coverage.

If you’re new with contouring and more or less terrified of it like me, this is where you should start. I’ve been using this for a year or more, and use the CRAP out of it. It’s so simple and idiot-proof (which is necessary for me). I use this brush to apply both!

Now, curly girls don’t wash their hair. I mean, we do… but with very special shampoos that don’t lather. Then we fill our curls with lots of products. We do this over and over, so every once in a while (like maybe twice a month, maybe once) we’re in need of a true detox. I got this shampoo for that and really like it.

This stuff in the “Sexy Lips” shade is THE BOMB. It’s my everyday, very unassuming color. Rose-y. Neutral-y. Very low maintenance.

RED FUCKING ALERT. This is the best shit I never knew I needed until I was at a Sephora and an employee showed me how well it worked. It’s… incredible? It literally melts your makeup away, and now I’m addicted to double-cleansing (I.e. doing this first, then going back in with my daily cleanser). My face has never felt so clean and free of impurities. Cannot recommend it enough!!!

Once again, if you’re an idiot like me who is very new to liquid eyeliner, this is the shit. I still can’t figure out a cat eye and probably never will, but that’s no never mind because this shit looks great no matter how you apply it. It’s freaking $12. You can’t go wrong here.

I feel like the right kind of eyebrow product is a never-ending search for me. I’ve been through a lot and will continue trying them now and again. Right now, I just got this stuff and really like it a lot. The thing is, you have to press it against a paper towel to get some product off before you apply it cause that wand has a lot of shit on it. At least, that’s what I do so I still get that fluffy natural look with a touch of filler. I got the dark brown!

I mean… this needs no explanation. I have one in my nightstand, in my makeup drawer, at my desk, and in my purse. So.

A hydrating AF mask that feels so cooling and glorious going on and really sinks into your skin overnight so you wake up with happy, moisturized skin. I know some people use it as a daily moisturizer, too! Love it.

I have one in every bathroom in the house. It legit fills up the space with its beautiful scent.

This is something new I’m ordering to try. I love the look of it in their example pictures and feel like I’ve heard good things from trusted sources. I got the Saint color, which they describe as a “rustic orange.”

It’s time for a new neutral eyeshadow palette, and I LOVE the looks of this one from Makeup By Mario. It’s all matte, too, which I am drawn to. I don’t need my eyeshadow to be shimmery or shiny all the time.

This curling iron set is incredible. You can control the head and it comes with three barrel sizes for different curls and waves. Swear by it.

I’ve been needing some new conditioner and I always look for one that is extra smoothing and moisturizing and this one fits the bill.

I need to get a new bottle of this incredible hair oil. I’ve used it for years in my hair before I dry it and it really makes a difference.

I’ve been wearing YSL lipstick for years. I love how smooth they are and how it feels hydrating . The colors are so lovely that I need to add a couple more to my collection.

I love a potion. I have a couple other Sturm products and have to think this, too, will be worth the money. You can really tell they are quality.

I am purchasing the Luminous Silk Perfect Glow Flawless Oil Free Foundation. My very sensitive skin has not reacted to the sample I've used for the past month, which dazzled and amazed me. I have always used Clinique Superbalanced foundation. Armani is lighter than air, yet has medium coverage and can be built up and layered (ladies choice!). It's not as matte as the Clinique.

Sephora needs to hand me one of those Smashbox X Becca Under Eye Brightening Correctors in "Medium." Momma has some dark times happening under her eyes.

I will be getting three different lip colors from Makeup By Mario MoistureGlow Lip Pumping Serum. Do I expect them to plump up my lips--NO, NO I do not! I just like their texture and the color pay off. It's a lippie that is somewhere between a balm and an actual lipstick. Looks great with a lip liner...and from swiping across my hand, reading reviews, and watching videos...has staying power. We shall see.

Gonna try the Armani Beauty Power Fabric Concealer. Got color matched weeks ago, because I planned ahead.

My Laura Mercier purchase will be her Caviar Stick Shadow in the color "Au Naturel." It's a very light brown tone, with the barest hint of glimmer. I can't do shimmer and glimmer or my eyes-AREN’T-on-a-dimmer, type of shadow. It's a great basic color without any fuss, and has a little somethin' going on, even though it's labeled a matte.

My hair needs a little love, so I'll be purchasing OUAI Fine Hair Shampoo. It gives me body that I can count on, even a few days past my wash...and that is "everything" for my abundant but very fine hair.
